Planning Matters

Trails and mountain biking are special in our lives, providing adventure, well-being, friendships and more. Future generations will enjoy what’s been meaningful to us, if we have foresight, consider our legacies and plan so that all have trails forever.

Wonderful trails begin with good planning. Effective philanthropy requires planning, as well. Giving annually today protects against known access threats and supports new trail development. Tomorrow will bring new challenges and trail development opportunities. Planning your giving for tomorrow ensures trails forever.

Consider a rewarding planned gift to the mission of the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA).

IMBA pursues a vision where trails unite, elevate, heal, and connect to create more vibrant places to live. We want every person to have access to high-quality trails just a few pedal strokes from home and a future where trails drive economic vitality, children are actively connected to nature, and communities thrive.

  • Trails as common as ball fields in every community
  • Greater access for more people
  • Better trail experiences for all users
  • Sufficient funding to help any community address maintenance or create something new

As the momentum of communities seeking to develop trails grows, we want to be there for them. Hundreds of communities and hundreds of thousands of riders have benefited from IMBA over thirty years. Hundreds more communities will count on IMBA tomorrow.

Plan Today. Trails Forever.

You are encouraged to address your estate planning - something not to be neglected. You’re invited to plan a gift to advance the IMBA mission.

A simple bequest commitment today through your will or trust helps IMBA prepare for tomorrow and trails forever.

Simply naming IMBA as a beneficiary in your will is a profoundly wonderful, rewarding commitment.

Trails Forever is the opportunity to protect and create trails for decades to come. Trails Forever is the special group of inspirational individuals who have included IMBA in their estate plans.

Meet J., a Founder of Trails Forever

“My passion for mountain biking has been a source of adventure, wellbeing, and happiness for most of my life.  As I consider what quality trails has given to me and my experiences and how IMBA has played an enormous role in that, I feel a great responsibility to provide long-term support so that others have the same opportunities.   In addition to my annual giving of a major gift, the simplest and most secure way I found to achieve long-term support of IMBA's mission was through a specific bequest in my estate plan.”
