Support Mountain Biking

IMBA Local associations are member-based groups focused on trails, access, rides and social events on close-to-home trails. IMBA works with IMBA Local partners to support and enhance trail building, advocacy and organizational efforts.

IMBA’s vision is to build the quality and quantity of mountain biking communities by supporting and empowering local leadership. We want to help communities build a base of knowledgeable and capable advocates and stewards.

How can you help? Support your nearest chapter, or more than one if you like – individuals can have up to 10 chapter memberships. It's an easy and rewarding way to support the team that knows your local trails.

South Texas Off Road Mountain-Bikers (STORM)

Want more and better mountain bike trails in San Antonio? So do we. South Texas Off Road Mountain-Bikers (STORM) is your local all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit mountain bike and trail advocacy organization. We build new trails and improve existing ones. We build relationships with landowners and the City of San Antonio to increase trail access. We host mountain bike races and hold group rides to get more people on mountain bikes, including specific rides and clinics for women and kids. We represent the mountain bike community in countless forums to protect our trails and advocate for new ones.

The more members STORM has, the more powerful our collective voice and the bigger and better we can grow the mountain bike scene in the San Antonio area. Now is an important time to join STORM and add your voice to the hundreds of other mountain bikers in the greater San Antonio region. The 2022 San Antonio municipal bond was a huge success in getting more trails and MTB facilities in San Antonio. STORM is communicating with City Council members to make sure the voices of the MTB community are heard when it comes to planning and building these trails and amenities.
