Trail Creek Bridge
Victor, Idaho
The project in focus is the construction of a 60' bridge across Trail Creek within the Southern Valley Recreation Project site in Victor, Idaho, and will connect new trails to existing trails. The project has been partially funded through an RTP grant and a number of small private donations. Dig In funds will help pay for the cost of bridge materials.
This project will allow for safe bicycle and pedestrian travel to a popular local trail network. The bridge will connect the system across a large creek to a trail leading through a highway underpass (under ID-33). This highway underpass is accessible from the town of Victor, Idaho and alleviates the need to cross a high-speed, busy highway along a corridor with very poor lines of sight. This effectively accomplishes our goal of "more trails close to home" and allows for safe access to all ages and demographics of trail users from their front doors - without the need for a car or requiring a dangerous highway crossing.
