Rogue Valley Mountain Bike Association (“RVMBA”), a chapter of the International Mountain Bike Association “IMBA“, is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit whose mission is to support and advance the interests of all Southern Oregon mountain bikers. RVMBA was formed to protect and expand trail opportunities for mountain bikers in the Southern Oregon area, including Ashland, Talent, Medford, and Jacksonville. Whether you are an adrenaline seeking gravity rider, or recreational trail cyclist, we have come together in the spirit of unity to seek additional opportunities for all riding disciplines. Formerly known as the Southern Oregon Freeride Association (“SOFA”), we have rebranded to better represent the interests of all mountain bikers in the Rogue Valley, and have worked to establish non-profit status in conjunction with IMBA. RVMBA’s board consists of 9 individuals from across the Rogue Valley representing various disciplines of mountain biking. A primary goal of the board is to bring together stakeholders in the Southern Oregon mountain biking community. We will work to improve existing trails and create opportunities for new and expanded trail networks across the region. Currently, RVMBA has proposals with the Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management (“BLM”), City of Ashland and the City of Jacksonville. We are also working with the Ashland Woodlands and Trails Association to expand the trail opportunities in the Ashland watershed. In Jacksonville we are working with the BLM and the City of Jacksonville to create a mountain bike park in and above Jacksonville’s Forest Park. These trail plans include trails for all types of mountain bikers. Contributions to RVMBA are tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor for further information.
