See How Mountain Biking has Impacted the Hamilton County Region

This 2022 report found that mountain biking in the Hamilton County region attracts 44,089 annual visits, including16,910 from tourists outside of the county. Accounting for group size and trips per year, mountain bikers contribute $6,892,502 to the local economy. These expenditures generate $482,999 in county and state taxes, and $498,225 in federal taxes.

Over time, it will be useful to gather data after Chattanooga's latest trail system, Walden's Ridge Park, opens in 2023, since this park will add new amenities not already found in the region.
