Sugar Hollow Beginner Trail

A Project of SORBA Tri-Cities
Bristol, VA

$ 5675.00 raised of $ 15000.00

The Sugar Hollow trail system is an existing system that is popular with mountain bikers but remains inaccessible to beginners because it lacks true green trails. Beginner trails are an important piece of a system that help create a growing love of mountain biking and plant the seed for stewardship, health, and a love of the outdoors.

Through this project, SORBA Tri-Cities aims to have a professionally built, entry-level trail with access from the parking lot. The Sugar Hollow Beginner Trail will also provide more riding opportunities for mountain bikers, particularly youth riders, in the Bristol, VA area. SORBA Tri-Cities foresees the planned beginner trail to be a gateway to more challenging riding in the Appalachian Mountain area and a way to bring youth programming such as a Little Bellas mountain bike chapter and NICA programs to Bristol.
