Sapwi Flow Trail

A Project of Concerned Off-Road Bicyclists Association
Thousand Oaks, CA

$ 3451.00 raised of $ 5000.00

The Sapwi Flow Trail Project is an extension of the Sapwi Bike Park, a partnership between Concerned Off-Road Bicyclists Association (CORBA) and Conejo Recreation and Park District (CRPD). The sense of community is strong at Sapwi, a welcoming space for local riders and visitors from outside the area.

This bike skills park is open to the public and free for everyone. The design accommodates all levels of rider so this dirt playground is enjoyed by kids, beginners, families, and experts. The Sapwi Flow Trail will expand this effort with a unidirectional, bike-only trail that rolls from the middle terrace following the naturally sloping terrain down to the bike park area. It will be the first of its kind in the Conejo Valley and will provide riders an opportunity to work on bike handling skills. The Sapwi Flow Trail will be great for beginners and have some optional features for more advanced riders. There is a shaded spectator area for families to hang out, picnic, watch the fun, and cheer on riders.

Sapwi Bike Park has had a positive impact on local trails. It has greatly reduced the incidence of illegal trail modifications, and no longer sees impromptu jumps appearing on local trails. The addition of a flow trail will expand and enhance the Sapwi Bike Park experience for everyone and help get more kids on bikes!

The funds will go to procuring materials to complete the project with goals set forth by the Sapwi Bike Park Committee in cooperation with the Conejo Recreation and Park District(CRPD).
