Western Heritage Park Trail (WHiP Trail)

A Project of Weatherford Mountain Bike Club
Mineral Wells, Texas

$ 3795.00 raised of $ 7000.00

Funding will support the purchase of tools for maintenance crews and signs for the Western Heritage Park Trail in Mineral Wells, TX. At approximately 4.35 miles, the soft-surface nature trail benefits the mountain biking, hiking and trail running communities of Mineral Wells and the Palo Pinto County region.

Prior to the creation of the WMBC there were no mountain bike trail opportunities in either Parker or Palo Pinto Counties. From January 2016 to date the WMBC has created two new trails, Quanah Hill and the Parks of Aledo Trails. These two trails have provided recreational trail opportunities to tens of thousands of mountain bikers, hikers and trail runners. The addition of the WHP Trail will continue that trend of expanding recreational trail opportunities to a new community.
