IMBA Singletrack Society Summer Gathering - Bellingham, WA, June 21-23, 2024

Please join IMBA leaders and fellow Singletrack Society members in Bellingham, WA, one of the most iconic mountain bike destinations in the country, June 21-23, 2024. You’ll enjoy incredible riding and hear about how new trail systems in the area have come to fruition through outstanding local advocacy leadership. We'll focus the weekend on the Galbraith trail network, where we’ll offer amazing guided rides for all abilities on 70-miles of trails ranging from classic pacific northwest singletrack to machine-built gravity runs. We’re also excited to partner with Evil Bikes who’ll host us for dinner and offer demo bikes for the weekend. 

You don’t want to miss this event! The event starts at 6:30 pm on Friday June 21. Optional rides will be available for those arriving a day or two early.

Friday June 21 6:30 pm - kick off the Summer Singletrack Society Gathering!

  • Join us for dinner, drinks, and socializing with other Singletrack Society members, IMBA staff, board members and local trail advocates. The evening will include opportunities to discuss IMBA’s work, hear about our plans, and give us your feedback
  • Location - Evil Bikes, 700 Harris Avenue, Bellingham

Saturday June 22 8:30 am - rides at Galbraith

  • We suggest that you check out some of the great breakfast diners and coffee shops in town before meeting at Evil Bikes, 700 Harris Avenue, Bellingham. We'll shuttle from there to the Galbraith Trails, and break up into groups for all abilities with local guides
  • We’ll take a break for lunch at the awesome new Transition Bikes Outpost
  • We’ll ride again in the afternoon or shuttle you back to town

Saturday June 22 6:30 p.m. - dinner

  • We’ll meet at the Corner Tap House 1125 Finnegan Way, Bellingham. We look forward to a wonderful dinner, drinks, and plenty of time for socializing, and talking trails! The Corner Tap House is located just a few blocks from Evil Bikes. 

Sunday June 23 8:30 a.m. - more riding

  • We'll meet again at Evil Bikes and head out to the Galbraith trails, before some closing comments from Dave Wiens around 12:30 p.m.
  • Leisurely lunch with and an afternoon ride for anyone staying around 

Please note:

  • For accommodations, there are many options to choose from including AirB&Bs, hotels, and campgrounds. We’ll be based in the Fairhaven district of Bellingham and suggest booking accommodations in that area to maximize your riding time. For hotels, we recommend the Fairhaven Village Inn or the Chrysalis Inn. If you’re planning on camping, Larrabee State Park is a 10-minute drive from the Fairhaven district 
  • We recommend booking accommodations as soon as possible, as summer in this region can be very busy
  • If you’re flying, Bellingham Airport is a 15-minute drive to the Fairhaven district
  • Interested in trying out an Evil? Please email Joe at Evil Bikes to reserve a bike at no cost, mentioning that you’re with the IMBA group in June
  • Interested in checking out a Transition? Please make your reservation here for a fee
  • Weather can be changeable - for the rides we suggest regular riding attire including sunscreen, a light rain jacket and a backpack for water and snacks. The evening gatherings will be held indoors and/or on a heated patio. We suggest bringing a sweater or jacket too
