Patapsco Valley State Park stands as the largest trail system with a dedicated MORE Trail Liaison. With its network of over 240 miles of trails, PVSP offers exhilarating challenges and back country-type adventures that attract mountain bikers from across the country.

MORE’s ongoing partnership with the Friends of Patapsco Valley State Park focuses on stewardship, inclusivity, and accessibility. Friends' busy event schedule includes races, trail work, and programming tailored to growing stewardship in the mountain bike community, and providing access to every type of rider.

MORE takes pride in its collaboration with FPVSP on the Patapsco FUN Series which has been running for 22 years; the School's Out Loop, an inaugural trail crafted specifically for NICA events; the Tall Poplar Trail, the pioneering trail for adaptive mountain biking; and numerous group rides and night rides for all ages and abilities.

Beginning next week, FPVSP will be offering membership to all trail users. We hope you support the work they are doing by becoming a member. You also can sign up for a joint MORE x FPVSP membership. Folks who are members of both organizations at the end of August will receive limited edition co-branded swag. Watch out for a signup link in next week's newsletter.

We're down to the last few days of fundraising for our Dig In - Adaptive Trails project. Thank you to everyone who contributed to unlocking those matching funds from Shimano!

There's still time to help us complete the 5-mile adaptive loop at he McKeldin Area in Patapsco. Last day to donate is on June 30.

Curious about adaptive mountain biking? Interested in helping get more adaptive riders on trails?

Join us for Adaptive MTB Day on July 14 at the McKeldin Area in Patapsco.

By volunteering, you'll learn about adaptive mountain biking while assisting adults and children with physical and cognitive disabilities. You don't need to be a mountain biker to help out, so feel free to share this opportunity to others who may be interested.

After an orientation with the bikes, volunteers will assist staff in teaching participants basic safety skills on pavement. You’ll then ride your mountain bike on the trails, leading or sweeping, getting off your bike occasionally to help AMTBers over obstacles as needed. Non-mountain bikers will be riding, walking, or running, beside participants on the pavement or gravel to ensure their safety and help with control of the bikes.

The MORE Summer Picnic is happening on July 13 in Lake Fairfax! Join us for a day packed with rides, games, skills clinics, and more.

Our friends from Phoenix Bikes will be there and will be taking bike parts donations. Saddles, grips, 26" tires, and all types of brake pads are welcome. Please, no bike trainers, clothing, shoes, or car racks. Any bicycle donations (road, hybrid, MTB not from big box stores) can be dropped off at their shop.

The MORE Fall Camping Trip is happening on September 27-29 at the Big Bear Lake Camplands in Bruceton Mills, WV. Registration will be up next week.

Camping gear an issue? Thanks to REI's Community Gear Donation program, we have camping equipment to lend for the weekend. Reservations can be made when you register.
