The work IMBA does improves access to mountain bike trails everywhere.
You often can't ride trails because:
- powerful special-interest groups want to ban bikes from trails altogether
- land managers lack the funds to keep trails and parks open
- land owners do not have what they need to manage mountain biking

Look at the progress we have made just recently:
- You can now ride trails in dozens of national parks—the donation you send now helps fund IMBA’s work with the National Parks Service to open even more.
- Land managers agreed to open hundreds of miles of new trails for you across the country—in places like the Morgan Hill State Forest in New York, Sope Creek near Atlanta, Mammoth Cave in Kentucky, Buffalo Creek near Denver, and Idyllwild in California. IMBA’s chapters are working to improve riding for you everywhere.
- In the face of funding cuts, IMBA is helping the U.S. Forest Service manage 200,000 miles of trails so they can remain open to bikes.
