Ontario Trail Improvement Grant Application Information

In 2007, the Ontario Cycling Association (OCA) and the International Mountain Bicycling Association's (IMBA) Canadian office will award three $500 grants to fund trail improvement projects across the province.

Funds may be used for a variety of purposes, including the purchase of trailbuilding tools, the construction of trailhead kiosks, improved trail signage, and other trailbuilding materials. Projects that create or improve trails used for mountain bike racing will receive the highest consideration.

Application deadline is June 1st, 2007. Winners will be notified in July, 2007.

Clubs belonging to both the OCA and IMBA are invited to apply.

Grant Applications MUST Include:

• A 1-page typed description of the proposed project that demonstrates how funds will be used to improve trail access for mountain bike racing, training and riding
• A budget outline for the entire project
• Contact information for all relevant land managers
• Club name, contact name, address, phone, email, and website.
• Club must be a current member of both the OCA and IMBA

Grant winners will be asked to provide a final project report to both the OCA and IMBA Canada.
