Lake Mendocino, Ukiah, CA

Feb 24-27
  • The Crew worked with Corps staff and the Ukiah Valley Trail Group to constructgreat singletrack reroute that will bypass the dirt road section.
  • Lake Mendocino has plans for new construction of singletrack multi-use trails around other parts of the lake and eventually a loop trail.
  • Instructed 20 volunteers and land managers in sustainable trail design and construction
  • Led 20 volunteers in 2 days of trailwork totaling 220 volunteer hours
  • Built 600 feet of trail
  • Designed 1.5 miles of trail
  • Assessed 4 miles of trail
  • Visit featured on the front page with a picture in the Ukiah Daily Journal on February 28, 2005

Hodges Village Dam, Oxford, MA

May 19-22
  • IMBA, NEMBA, and USACE joined forces for a full weekend of training and field projects.
  • Instructed 45 volunteers and land managers in sustainable trail design and construction
  • Led 45 volunteers in two days of trailwork totaling 270 volunteer hours
  • Built 1500 feet of trail
  • Assessed 15,000 feet of trail
  • Maintained 50,00 feet of trail
  • Story published in Yankee Engineer, July 2005 and on the NEMBA website

Hopkinton Lake, Hopkinton, NH

Jul. 21-24
  • The Crew worked with Central New Hampshire NEMBA Chapter and USACE staff on expanding the stacked loop trail system at Hopkinton Lake to include a better beginner loop and an intermediate trail with optional lines.
  • Taught an IMBA Trailbuilding School to 8 land managers
  • Instructed 15 volunteers in sustainable trail design and construction
  • Led 15 volunteers in two days of trailwork totaling 75 volunteer hours
  • Built 500 feet of trail
  • Assessed 10,000 feet of trail

Green River Lake, Cambellsville, KY

Oct. 10
  • Instructed 8 volunteers in sustainable trail design and construction
  • Led 8 volunteers in trailwork totaling 16 volunteer hours
  • Assessed 10,000 feet of trail
  • Maintained 2500 feet of trail
