Pennsylvania Environmental Council MTB Companion Report

Growing Mountain Biking in the North Central Appalachian Rec Belt takes a deep dive into a segment of the outdoor recreation economy—specifically, mountain biking. Inspired by communities like Bentonville, Arkansas, a city in the Ozark Mountains with just over fifty thousand people that built a globally known cycling culture, this study looks at the potential and realized economic impacts of mountain biking tourism and local recreation, as well as strategies that can help the region develop its mountain biking infrastructure and landscape.
