The best rides...forever.

As mountain biking evolves, the "best in mountain biking" continues to get better. Epics® will always be about the ride.

The 2009 IMBA Epics were selected by IMBA staff, including our Regional Directors. The directors consulted closely with club leaders to find out which trails in their territories are having the biggest influence on riders, as well as land managers and decision makers. These rides are the models that shape our conception of what is possible for trail recreation on public lands.

The sky's the limit to the experiences that the Epics program can embrace. Like the sport itself, the definition of an Epic will continue to evolve. One theme remains unchanged: the criteria for the Epic designation is quality: quality trails, a quality experience - something worth celebrating. Whether you are into flowing singletrack, hang time or a mega challenge, Epics feature something for everyone.
