Blue Ridge Off-Road Cyclists (BROC) aims to expand and connect the Mill Mountain trail system in Roanoke, VA, enhancing access for residents. The project, approved by city authorities, will focus on trail expansion and improvement to provide safer biking routes from neighborhoods to trails.

The trail network at Mill Mountain Park spans 10 miles, offering unparalleled opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.

As the home of the iconic Roanoke Star and the beloved Mill Mountain Zoo, our trails provide a gateway to adventure right in the heart of the city. But we're not stopping there.

With the support of the city of Roanoke Parks and Recreation Dept. and the Roanoke Parks Foundation, we're embarking on an ambitious expansion project to connect our central trails with surrounding neighborhoods. No more lengthy drives or biking on busy roads for trail access—our trails will be just steps away from your doorstep.

Approved in the 2021 Mill Mountain Trails Plan Amendment and developed in collaboration with stakeholders including Blue Ridge Off-Road Cyclists, our proposed trail build will focus on expanding the Ivy-Red and 9th St-Green trails. These enhancements will not only improve neighborhood access but also provide a direct bike route for cyclists, eliminating the need for cars or risky rides on primary road corridors.

Your donation helps build a more accessible and exhilarating outdoor experience in Roanoke.
