1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Youth Program Initiative

Help shape the future IMBA youth initiative and support the committee in developing a strategic and impactful youth program to enable chapters to educate the next generation of riders, trail builders and advocates. A committee of key IMBA staff has been working to get the process started and we need your input. Attendees will get an update on the current status and engage in a collaborative facilitated dialog to provide input on core components of the program, determine the next steps in the process and ensure a useful, impactful and memorable program experience for future youth.

2:30 pm - 3:30 pm NICA- What's It All About?

Why is supporting your local National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) middle and high school mountain bike program important to your club/chapter? Founded in 2009, NICA develops interscholastic mountain biking programs for student-athletes across the United States. As of 2016, there are nearly 11,000 student-athletes working with over 4,000 licensed coaches in 19 state leagues. Grow your chapter with the next generation of advocates and stewards, increase diversity, impress your land managers with an active youth program and, more importantly, inspire the next generation to appreciate and protect our public lands. See how you too can connect the dots...
