Sunday March 10th: Jesusita Volunteer Trail Work!
Sunday March 10th: Come lend a hand on Jesusita Trail!
Last year volunteers did an incredible job of brushing Jesusita from Moreno Ranch to the Edison fire road. But, the brush has grown back and the water bars silted up. So, to keep the trail in good shape for the rest of the year, we are going back in to knock the brush back and clean out the water bars! Come out and join other trail volunteers on the up keep of Jesusita trail!
When: Sunday March 10th
Time: 8:30am sharp
Meet: Gelson’s parking lot.
At 8:30a volunteers will meet in the Gelson’s parking lot at State St. and Las Positas to sign in and organize a carpool to the work site.
We’ll be working on the trail until approximately 2pm. Work will include cutting brush back and improving the water control structures.
Work will be followed by a free lunch from Santa Barbara Chicken Ranch right there on the trail! BBQ chicken, beans, rice, slaw, and their salsa! Drinks too. Lunch will be at Upper Oso.
Volunteers will be required to wear gloves, helmets, and long pants while working. Gloves and hardhats will be supplied, but personal helmets and gloves can be used. Cyclists, pack in pants for the work site.
