IMBA Clubs

Club Website About:

The Ripon College Red Hawks Cycling team was formed in 2007 as a varsity collegiate mountain bike team. Ripon competes in the Midwest Collegiate Cycling Conference. The team has won three D2 team conference championships and six individual conference championships.

The team is about more than competition, however, and also serves as a catalyst for social change in terms of cycling and specifically mountain biking. The team is determined to bring awareness to the sport and to encourage participation amongst others, especially youth.

In 2010, Ripon College won a $25,000 Pepsi Refresh Everything Grant to build mountain bike trails on the college campus. The cycling team and its coach, Ric Damm, worked with IMBA Trail Solutions to make their dreams of campus singletrack a reality. Today, the Ceresco Prairie Mountain Bike Trail is a magnificent training ground for both seasoned racers and aspiring enthusiasts.
