Boone Area Cyclists (BAC) a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working throughout the Boone, NC region to create safe and accessible trails and greenways for all types and levels of cyclists.

BAC's primary trail project is through a partnership with Watauga County and the Watauga County Tourism Development Authority (WCTDA), in constructing an 7-10 mile stacked-loop trail system at Rocky Knob Park on 180 acres of county land. This park is being developed specifically for mountain biking, and has received over 550,000 in funding to date. 9 miles are open to ride, including 3 skills areas. A new pumptrack will be constructed in Spring, 2013 . More:

BAC is involved with numerous other trail initiatives including working with the with the Grandfather District of Pisgah National Forest who has trained and certified our sawyers. BAC helps maintain over 30 miles of trail on USFS land.
