IMBA and online mountain bike retailer HucknRoll.com are pleased to announce the 2011 IMBA/HucknRoll.com Trail Improvement Grants. These grants support projects that maintain and improve the sustainability of local trails, preserve the environment and enhance conservation the mountain bicycling community.
Four grants of $700 will be awarded to IMBA-affiliated clubs that meet the project criteria.
The application deadline is May 1, 2011.
“Small grants like this are a great catalyst to support volunteer trail work and much-needed maintenance. We hope to inspire volunteers to apply the principles of sustainable trail design in their local communities,” said IMBA Development Director, Rich Cook.
“Incredible mountain biking requires incredible trails,” said Dustin Robertson, CMO of HucknRoll.com. “We sell mountain bikes. It’s not only our obligation, it’s our privilege, to support IMBA and the trail stewardship that they promote. We want to help mountain bikers make their own trails better.”
