IMBA Involved in Land Protection in San Juan County Utah

Public Lands Initiative Campaign

The partnership between IMBA and the Wilderness advocates working in San Juan County Utah has precedent setting potential. Both parties have come to the table to craft a Wilderness proposal that will protect critical eco-systems and help prevent development and poorly planned resource extraction. It is important to IMBA that the proposal will also allow mountain bicyclists access to the trails they built and maintain. This partnership is a developing model for the effectiveness of collaboration between mountain bike and wilderness advocates. The timeless protection of our favorite playgrounds will allow us to pass on them on to future cyclists and is a cause behind which all mountain bicyclists can rally.

Call to Action!
