ICP MTB Clinics

 

It's a RARE opportunity to have so many internationally renowned and recognized mountain bikers in one location! This is your chance to interact with and learn flow trail riding techniques from IMBA’s elite group of ICP Instructor Trainers including two-time World Masters Downhill Champion Shaums March, the former Women's Downhill Champion Lisa Sher, Jake Carsten, David DeVeny and many more.


Pumping, Jumping and Berms 101

This three hour clinic is designed to help you flow like a pro on the trails near you!

Pumping, Jumping and Berms 101 is intended to help you cultivate your timing, coordination and pressure control and is recommended for riders who have mastered mountain biking's fundamental skills and are ready to take their riding to new potentials. 

You will learn:
  • Proper Timing, Coordination & Absorbing
  • Pumping
  • How to approach and maintain speed in Berms
  • Anatomy of Jumps, Pre-loading, & how to leave the ground and land with control. 

You will need a bike you are comfortable riding trails on or a dirt jumping bike if one is available to you. Your bike should have the ability to lower the seat 4-6 inches. If you do not have a dropper post, or a quick release then we recommend bringing multi-tool to manually lower your seat according to the instructor's recommendations.

  • Water
  • Platform/flat pedals
  • Protective knee and elbow gear

Basic Dirt Jumping Technique

Every Pro rider started as a beginner. In this clinic you will learn the key skills necessary to get your wheels off the ground!

Our elite ICP Instructor Trainers will guide you through the necessary steps required to get distance between your bike tires and the ground. You will learn & practice the techniques required to safely get into the air with the bike under your control!  These skills are useful in the bike park, but are also helpful for having fun out on the trails.

*FLAT PEDALS are required for this clinic*

You will need a bike you are comfortable riding trails on or a dirt jumping bike if one is available to you. Your bike should have the ability to lower the seat 4-6 inches. If you do not have a dropper post, or a quick release then we recommend bringing multi-tool to manually lower your seat according to the instructor's recommendations.

Other items you will need:

  • Knee & Shin protective pads *Highly recommended*
  • Elbow pads also suggested

Intermediate Dirt Jumping Technique

In this course you will learn intermediate dirt jumping techniques and how to add a little more style and grace to your jumps. Our elite ICP Instructor Trainers will guide you through the necessary steps required to get maximum distance between your bike tires and the ground. You will learn & practice the techniques required to perform jumps at an intermediate level. The skills you learn here, will be useful in the bike park and also nice to have when you're ripping out on the trails.  

*FLAT PEDALS are required for this clinic*

Other items you will need: 

  • A dirt jump bike if one is available to you (check your local shops to see if they have demo's available for day use).
  • If you only have a mountain bike, then you need the ability to lower the seat 4-6 inches. If you do not have a dropper post, or a quick release then we recommend bringing multi-tool to manually lower your seat according to the instructor's recommendations. 
  • Knee, Shin and Elbow protective pads are *Highly recommended*
