GROC is seeking individuals who are passionate about mountain biking and want to make a difference to join the Board of Directors! There are several volunteer Board and Committee positions available. GROC’s mission includes expanding access to sustainable, shared use trails and bike facilities, educating riders and other members of the public on responsible trail use, and inspiring more people to get involved in off-road cycling. GROC is an inclusive organization, helping the entire community reap the health, fitness, environmental, educational, and economic benefits of this sport. Open positions are listed below. Mentoring for each position will be provided. Vice President: Provide leadership and help create a vision for the organization. Hold monthly board meetings and work with other board members to further GROC's mission and strategic plan. Events Committee co-Chair: Manage Love Your Trail events, annual member meetings, and/or Burning Bike. The co-chairs will work together and support one another. Committee members can assist with events. No event planning experience necessary! Membership Chair: Maintain GROC's online membership database, lead membership drives, market the benefits of membership to community members and existing members. Advocacy Chair: Maintains existing relationships and creates new access and development opportunities through engagement with land managers, local government representatives, community leaders, and business owners. Engages local government and elected officials to gain support and strengthen GROC's position in the community. |
