IMBA Singletrack Society Gathering - Stowe, VT September 23rd-25th, 2022

Registration is closed for this event

Please join us in Stowe, VT from September 23rd-25th, 2022 for a fall Singletrack Society gathering in this idyllic mountain bike destination. We'll focus the weekend's schedule on the trails in Stowe Town Forest, Adams Camp and the iconic Trapp Family Lodge. There will be opportunities for amazing all-ability riding on new, bike optimized trails, and classic New England singletrack, set next to Mount Mansfield, the highest peak in Vermont.

IMBA has seen tremendous growth recently, and we look forward to spending the weekend with you, sharing great food, discussing new projects and programs, and of course saying thanks for your support! The official event starts at 6pm on Friday September 23rd, however we will have a couple of optional rides before then for anyone who is in the area and wishes to ride. We'll keep in touch with registrants to scheule those pre-event rides, which will also be on some of the amazing trails in the region. Exact times and locations are TBD, however we will base our rides out of Trapp Family Lodge the entire weekend.

Thursday September 22nd (afternoon) - optional, casual, all-abilty rides.

Friday September 23rd - (morning) - optional, casual, all-abilty rides.

Friday September 23rd (evening) - kick off the Singletrack Society Gathering!

Saturday September 24th (morning and afternoon) - first rides of the weekend

  • We suggest that you check out some of the great breakfast diners and coffee shops in town, we'll then meet and divide into different ability groups to head out on the trails with local guides. We'll ride at Trapp Family Lodge, the Adams Camp trails and in the Town Forest. We'll come back for lunch, and for those interested, there will be more guided rides in the afternoon.

Saturday September 24th (evening)

  • We’ll meet at the Trapp Family Lodge Bier Hall, for a wonderful dinner, libations, and plenty of time for socializing, and talking trails!

Sunday September 25th (morning)

  • We'll again meet and divide into different ability groups to head out on the trails with local guides, before some closing comments from Dave Wiens around 12:30pm.

Please note:

  • For accommodations, there are many options to choose from including AirB&B, hotels, motels and camping. Here’s a listing of the options. We recommend booking accommodations in or close to the town of Stowe, which is located about 15 minutes from the Waterbury exit of Interstate 89. For those flying into Burlington International Airport, it is about a 45 minute drive to Stowe. We recommend booking accommodations as soon as possible, as fall in this region can be very busy.
  • Please check out Ranch Camp, AJs Ski and Sports or Trapps Outdoor Center for bike rentals.
  • Weather can be changeable - for the rides we suggest regular riding attire including sunscreen, a light rain jacket and a backpack for water and snacks. The evening gatherings will be held indoors and/or on a heated patio, however we suggest bringing a sweater or jacket too.
