Junior mtb skills clinc with Stefanie Wilmert
Junior skills clinic, for middle school and high school students, meets on the grounds of Lands Creek Log Cabins.
The junior mountain bike clinic addresses how to be a better mountain biker. We will emphasize basic riding and handling skills including bike position, weight distribution, breaking, cornering, and clearing obstacles. Topics will also include getting to know your bike, proper equipment, and gearing. We will discuss the importance of proper nutrition and trail side maintenance. Questions answered like “What do I need to bring with me on a ride?”, “How can I become faster?”, “What if I get a mechanical?” “What do I need to eat as a mountain biker?” You will need to bring your riding gear, helmet, bike and water. Clinic will last about 2 hours.
The clinic will be led by a Stefanie Gore (Wilmert), a certified NICA coach as well as experienced mountain bike racer of 15 years.
