Esterhazy, SK IMBA Canada Trail Care Crew Visit

The International Mountain Bicycling Association Canada is coming toSaskatchewan! Chad and Deanne Lazaruk of the IMBA Canada Trail Care Crew will be in Esterhazy for a Trailbuilding School with the East Qu'Appelle Cartel

The Crew teaches “sustainable” trail building, which means building trails that last a long time and require minimal maintenance. This helps reduce trail damage, protects the environment, and enhances visitor enjoyment.

Friday October 15

7:30 PM: Social evening at the Legion Hall (SE corner of Main and Veterans). With pool tables, darts, & cash bar.

Saturday October 16

9:00 - Noon: In class session at Esterhazy Highschool (drive east thru Esterhazy to the Mohawk/Subway, turn left on East Drive, then take the first left and follow to destination.)

Noon - 1:00: Pizza lunch, provided to participants by East Qu'Appelle Cartel

1:00 - 4:00: Trailbuilding School field session

Sunday October 17

10AM: Group ride. Meet at the race course start/finish area. BBQ to follow on site.

Participants should bring:

  • Lunch
  • Water 
  • Snacks 
  • Work gloves & Hat
  • Sunscreen & bug spray
  • Closed toe shoes or boots 
  • Long pants
  • Rain gear, if necessary
  • Tools (shovels, rakes, buckets, pulaskis, mcleods)
