Please join local and regional land managers from throughout the Mid-Atlantic in a seminar addressing bicycling on natural surface trails systems. Sessions will be led by IMBA staff and accomplished advocates from MORE.

IMBA and MORE are hosting a one day workshop for land managers from throughout the Mid Atlantic. The focus will be on best practices for natural surface trails, trail design, common mistakes as well as improving the mountain bike experience on your land. The afternoon will focus on the develop of the Rockburn Branch Skills Park, including a site visit, weather permitting.

Tenative schedule is as follows:

9 am - Introductions
9:30 am - Managing Mountain Biking - Presented by IMBA Trail Solutions
Learn about the latest methods in trail construction, system design and bike optimized trail features. Question and answer to follow.
Noon - Lunch (Provided)
1 pm – Rockburn Branch Skills Park discussion and walkthrough (weather permitting). Learn how MORE partnered with Howard County Parks to develop a progressive moun- tain bike skills area, a first of its kind in the region. From design, permitting to funding, the experts will be on hand to discuss and answer questions.
