The Great Lakes Mountain Bicycling Summit is a gathering of clubs and advocates from the Upper Midwest region. The goal of the Summit is to create an open dialog between advocates so that best practices, successes and challenges can be shared and utilized. The friday Summit will be held at the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge, in Copper Harbor, MI.

Cost is $15.00 payable at check in at the Mountain Lodge Friday morning.  Check-in starts at 9am.


 11.00 am: Kick Off and Coffee (Provided) -  “Cross Pollination Slide show”  A chance to tell the MTB Community what your club has been up to.


11.45 am:   Successful Land manager –club partnerships.

11.45 am:   Scott Chapin Economic Impact of Trails

12.15 pm:  Hansi Johnson IMBA Chapter Program and building club capacity.


1.15 Lunch  Provided.

1.45 Mike Van Abel Key Note address “We belong Together”


 2.15  Aaron Rogers: Keweenaw Point Trail: Leveraging limited resources.

2.15 Chris Bernhardt: advanced Trail Building indoor session.

 3 pm: How to work with the Cycling Industry a Panel discussion with SRAM, TREK.

 4.30pm: Group Ride From Keweenaw Mountain Lodge


7.30 pm:  Social Gathering Mariner North, Copper Harbor.
