Summary: Adventurous mountain bikers will find the epic they’re looking for on the Seven Summits trail in Rossland BC. This point-to-point trail provides over 35 kilometers (22 miles) of technical single-track, with beautiful mountain vistas, challenging (but 100% rideable) climbs and flowing descents. The sinewy trail follows ridgelines, affording views of the Columbia River Valley and the Southern Selkirk and Monashee Mountains.
Paul's Dirty 100 began as a memorial ride for an avid racer, Paul Rush, who loved a long ride and a hard slog. Over the years, this 100-kilometer ride has been revamped and reworked into a challenging, but very ride-able, network of trails. Just over an hour's drive from Toronto, this Epic features more than 7,000 feet of climbing through the Ganaraska Forest, including pine plantations, rolling hills, twisty-turney dark corners and roller-coaster fire roads.
Cortina is big: it's got twice the vertical of Vail or Mammoth Mountain. Cortina is dramatic: located in the heart of the Dolomites near Italy's northeast corner, it's an exceptionally sharp and rocky cluster of limestone peaks. Cortina is famous: host to the 1956 Winter Olympics, Cortina has been one of Europe's premier ski resorts ever since.
