City of Eagle, ID Provides Funding for Bike Park
By unanimous vote, the Eagle city council agreed to provide $8,000 for the current season of the Eagle Bike Park, with the intent of providing a trail manager and much needed materials for continued park development and maintenance for the 2012 season. The park is a project of the Boise Area Mountain Bike Association, an IMBA chapter.
Help Bolster the Marin County Bike Park
Marin County Supervisors have offered to support the Stafford Lake Bike Park. The master plan for the 17-acre site calls for a bike park designed for riders of all ages, skills and abilities, including a Cam McCaul-inspired slopestyle course and terrain park. Fort Ord Monument Backers Meet With President Obama
Six Monterey, CA, representatives, including leadership of the Monterey IMBA chapter (MORCA), attended a Department of Interior conference in Washington, D.C., on March 2. The group was allowed a few moments to express their support for the creation of the Fort Ord National Monument directly to President Obama during the White House Conference on Conservation.
