Believe it or not, spring has come to the Midwest Region. Winter just thinks it still has some time left...In any case there is going to be a really cool Advocacy Summit slash Riding Festival in the Keweenaw May 27-29th. Friday will be a day of learning and passing on success stories and challenges. Club to club. We have multiple break out sessions on everything from the economic impact of trails, to successful land manager/club relationships to having Mike Van Abel, IMBA's executive director giving a lunch talk on Friday afternoon. In addition the event will feature some industry heavies with SRAM and Trek on the scene to speak to how clubs can best work with the cycling industry. Then Sat-Sunday will be featured rides on the Keweenaw from Copper Harbor to the much under heralded Calumet-Houghton area. Lastly, Sunday night will feature a dinner with proceeds going towards the dream trail called the Keweenaw point trail. You can register here.
