IMBA Trail Solutions has hit the ground running in Monterey, California as it begins the construction of the Ride Zone for the 2013 Volkswagen Sea Otter Classic. This year's Ride Zone features the SRAM Mountain Bike Skills park presented by IMBA, and the Specialized/IMBA Kid's Bike Play Area.
The Specialized/IMBA Kid's Bike Play Area will feature a push-bike track that young children can enjoy, and a small bike skills track designed to accommodate other youngsters who might be ready to step up to an area with a few more ups and downs and twists and turns. Children and parents can also enjoy a shade tent with picnic benches, a kids games event featuring Specialized's "First Gear Flyers" program, a "Water Monster" family water-source provided by Camelback, and a supervised bounce house.
The SRAM Mountain Bike Skills Park presented by IMBA will include a larger mountain bike skills trail suited to intermediate and advanced skill level riders.
Both skills trails at the Ride Zone will include FlowForm Trail Features supplied by Alpine Bike Parks. FlowForm features include pre-engineered structural steel frames and durable, replaceable riding surfaces that are pro rider designed and low maintenance. The trail specialists with IMBA Trail Solutions are building "ride-arounds" at each FlowForm feature to provide mountain bikers with the option of pedaling around any of the features they don't wish to tackle.
See you at Sea Otter!
