The Revolution Mountain Sports 7th Annual Stan Crane Memorial XC Race, contested on Memorial Day 2012, was greeted with perfect spring weather after a weekend of rain. Held at the Corner Canyon trail system in Draper, UT, the course included significant portions of flow-based singletrack designed and constructed by the City of Draper and local volunteers under the guidance of Trail Specialist Joey Klein.
The trails were tacky and the forest cool, with racers raving about the brand new lower Rush Trail segments. Nearly 400 riders were able to descend the entire Rush Trail, just opened in its complete status, with gentle grades allowing for good flow and fun airtime. The thoughtful layout and implementation of the trail allowed beginner through expert riders to enjoy the same trail, with pumping and jumping available to those with more confidence.
