Trail Solutions Initiates Design of Bike Park in Flagstaff, AZ

Already known as a great riding destination, Flagstaff, AZ, may soon have a bike park to augment the miles of singletrack that exist outside the city. Flagstaff Biking Organization (FBO) is working with Coconino County to create a seven-acre facility at the existing Ft. Tuthill park, which already provides camping, picnic areas, a ropes course, and plenty of trees for shade. The park is also easily accesible via the town's bike path system.

Trail Solutions has been retained to create the conceptual plan and was onsite to design a pump track, gravity flow lines, dirt jumps, and a skills area. Anthony Quintile of FBO led a productive public meeting where attendees were able to "vote" for their favorite types of trail to help prioritize what should be built. Patrick Kell, IMBA's Southwest Regional Director, was in also attendance to discuss the support of the project with a donation from Trek's Trail Building Fund.

Special thanks to project partners Flowline Trail Design.
