New Trails Planned for Rogue River, Oregon

The Medford District of the Bureau of Land Management is working with local mountain bicycle advocates to develop a new trail system minutes off of Interstate 5 in southern Oregon. With south-facing exposure and a low base elevation the trails should provide riding opportunities when other PNW trails are under snow or mud. The project is being designed with multi-use climbing singletrack and flow-based descending trails aimed at providing much-needed mountain bike-optimized opportunities. Volunteer-led construction is scheduled to commence this summer with Trail Solutions professional assistance coming later in the fall.
