Fresh off their adventure with the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew, Chris and Leslie Kehmeier have joined the Trail Solutions team. In doing so they follow in the footsteps of many other Trail Solutions staff who cut their IMBA teeth as a Trail Care Crew before moving to full-time trail consulting and construction.
During their two years traveling the United States, Chris and Leslie had an opportunity to work with almost 70 different communities, focusing on grassroots advocacy and economic development in addition to sustainable trailbuilding. Prior to joining IMBA, they lived in Eagle, Colorado where they were actively involved in their local mountain bike scene, working closely with various advocacy groups and land agencies.
With a strong affinity for natural surfaces, Chris brings a wealth of project management and construction experience from the golf course industry. After a short and sweet Trail Care Crew retirement, Chris has already joined the Trail Solutions team working with the National Parks Service at the amazing New River Gorge project.
In addition to working in the field, Leslie will provide behind-the-scenes support of Trail Solution’s planning and design efforts. With her extensive background in GIS and cartography, Leslie brings a wide-ranging knowledge of mapping trails, open spaces, and other natural resources to the team. Leslie's skills with the camera and at the keyboard will also enhance IMBA's efforts to promote projects and successful partnerships.
Trail Solutions is fortunate to welcome these two passionate and skilled trailbuilders to the team.
