Mark McClure


Born in 1981 Mark McClure lives in Oldham, England, Mark has worked in the bicycle industry since 1998 when he acquired his first job in a bike store as a mechanic and sales person.

Mark attended the University of Central Lancashire and studied product design and fashion brand promotion before breaking out on his own to run night club events in Manchester, Birmingham, London and Ibiza.

A change of direction in 2006 lead Mark to follow his passion for mountain biking, working as an instructor for various organisations including British Cycling before setting up setting up his own business; Try-Cycles.

Try-Cycles is a non-for-profit cycle training and promotions company which has been working with local authorities, schools and community groups to deliver mountain biking experiences alongside trail design services since 2007.

In 2010 Mark took over the role of chairman for IMBA-UK (International Mountain Biking Association) and continued at the helm of the operation until early 2013.

Mark now works globally  with IMBA Trail Solutions as a Trail Specialist, completing trail projects in the US, Mexcio and Europe in 2013.
