Progress continues with planning for a trail system at Atlanta's Southside Park. Trail Solutions staff recently revisited the site to meet with a City of Atlanta arborist to assess compliance costs associated with Atlanta's tree ordinance. Two days were spent reviewing the planned corridor, gathering compliance data and making adjustments. The addition of shared-use natural surface trails will greatly enhance Southside Park's user base and provide area residents a much needed opportunities to recreate in a natural setting. Area advocates and city planners are excited to have the project moving forward and once completed this trail system will be the first substantial shared-use natural surface trail system within the I-285 beltway.
