High School MTB Racing Comes to New York

The National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) New York Project League kicked off its first successful race season this spring with two races, something never before done by a project league. Teams raced at Sprain and the iconic William's Lake, drawing racers from all over the state.

CLIMB Receives REI Grant and Creates Beach Riding Etiquette

Concerned Long Island Mountain Bicyclists (CLIMB) was awarded a $5,000 grant from the REI store in Carle Place, NY. The grant was won with support from REI employees. The funds will be directed toward purchasing tools and supplies to help CLIMB's volunteer trail stewards build new trails and maintain those already in use.

Reidelbauers Round Top Mountain Bike Festival (NY)

Join the Round Top Mountain Bike Association, Overlook Mountain Bikes and Catskill Cycles at Riedlbauer’s Resort in Round Top, NY, on June 23 for a day of riding supported by the Giant demo truck. Riedlbauer’s Summer Fest is happening the same day, so bring the whole family for a day of fun. Enjoy a skills course and guided group rides for all levels. Take advantage of Adidas eyewear demos and the Muc-Off bike wash station, then stick around for the famous Round Top night ride. Rooms at the resort are still available!

Don’t Miss NEMBAfest at Kingdom Trails (VT)

Riders in the northeast, come celebrate all things mountain biking at NEMBAfest, the New England Mountain Bike Association’s mountain bike festival at the renowned Kingdom Trails in Vermont. The 3-day festival runs this weekend, June 21-23, and will feature an expo, lift-served and XC riding, live music, food, free camping and activities for young and old.

Windham U.S. National Mountain Bike Race (NY)

Windham Mountain and the Windham Area Recreation Foundation (WARF) are proud to bring you the Windham U.S. National Mountain Bike Race. The event takes place June 28-30 in Windham, NY. Riders of all abilities from all over the U.S. will compete in three disciplines: the Monster Energy PRO GRT Downhill, Stan’s No Tubes XCT Cross Country, and the KMC Super D. The event is open to riders of all abilities, from first-timers to seasoned professionals. Spectators are welcome!

Fats in the Cats Summer Picnic (NY)

Please join Fats in the Cats (one of IMBA’s newest chapters) at Berean Park in Highland, NY, on Sunday, July 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a summer picnic. The morning involves trail building on Illinois Mountain. After the trail work, ride singletrack at the Walkway Over The Hudson, swim in the lake and mingle with local riders. Beverages will be provided and food will be potluck.

Vermont Mountain Bike Association Festival

This year's festival, July 13-14, is certain to have everything a rider could possibly want: food all day, a Saturday night BBQ, beer garden, country store, live band, prize raffles, vendors, camping, 50+ miles of trail and the first-ever mountain bike Olympics. WNYMBA Festival at Sprague Brook Park (NY)

Join the Western NY Mountain Bike Association Aug. 23-25 in Sprague Brook Park for its 10th annual mountain bike festival. The event features group rides, vendor tents, demos and more for all ages and abilities. Camping on the grass is included with your entry fee. Sunday features breakfast followed by the Single Track Stampede race. All abilities welcome!
