Keep Wyoming's Public Lands Public

Wyoming mountain bikers, we need your help to keep public lands in public hands in Wyoming!

On Friday, February 12, the Wyoming State Legislature will vote on introducing two bills that are an assault on public lands in Wyoming. These bills call for the state government to seize and then sell off Wyoming's National Forests and other public lands. Your ownership of, and right to enjoy places like Teton Pass, Togwotee Pass, Bridger-Teton National Forest and other National Forests and BLM lands are at risk. The legislature will vote tomorrow, so it's vital that you reach out now.

What are the bills?
•    HB 142 (Transfer of Public Lands) proposes to seize our public lands in Wyoming and sets up a process to sell off these lands.
•    HB 126 (Public Land Access) sets Wyoming on a path toward taking over and privatizing public lands within the state's borders.

The legislature is voting on the introduction of these bills tomorrow. Right now is the best time to tell lawmakers what you think, and just a few people speaking out could make a difference. Please, voice your support for our treasured public lands by sending a message to your representative by 10 a.m. Friday, February 12.

Our friends at Outdoor Alliance have built a tool to help you find your legislator and send them a message about these bills. It only takes a few minutes, and could be the difference to keep Wyoming's public lands in public hands.
