Promoting your Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew visit is important. Please customize this sample media release and send it to your local television station to publicize the Trail Care Crew visit.
Follow these simple instructions:
1) Cut and paste - Copy the press release text into a Word document.
2) Customize - Look for text that is in ALL CAPITAL ITALIC LETTERS and replace it with information specific to your event. Keep it to one page!
3) Get media list - Contact Spencer ( ) for IMBA's detailed list of television media in your area. Or go to www.congress.org and do a search under Media Guide using your zip code.
4) Fax media release - Fax your media release to all local television stations 1-3 days in advance of the event. Fax it to the Weekend Assignment Editor (for weekend events). Knowing the specific name of that person is not necessary.
5) Be Available - They may call you the day of the event or not call at all. Be available by phone and be accommodating if they come. They often don't want to walk far on a trail.

Thanks for your efforts to help publicize your Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew visit. The more media coverage you get, the more successful your event will be.
If you have any questions, contact Spencer Powlison ( ) at IMBA.
