Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew Visits Michigan's U.P.
August, 2002 - The Upper Peninsula of Michigan may now be overlooked as a mountain bike destination, but once news about the awesome riding leaks out, mountain bikers will flock there. From sandy singletrack, to rocky technical stuff, to man-made structures, Michigan's U.P. has it all!
The focus of our (Mark and Lora of the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew) visit to the U.P. was a 9-mile piece of fast and twisty singletrack called Bruno's Run. A solid volunteer trailwork day gave Bruno a modest makeover.
Also during our visit we presented our "Ride Around the World" slideshow, led a Trailbuilding School, conducted a trail assessment and design clinic, and enjoyed good times with the local mountain biking crowd.
Thanks to everyone for making our visit a great success!
