Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew Reaches National Audience

The Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew has been keeping very busy. In just five months, Mike and Jan Riter have worked on more than 100 trailwork sessions, visited 40 states, and driven more than 26,000 miles in their Subaru Outback. When all volunteer labor is included, the Trail Care Crew has participated in over 5,000 volunteer man hours working on trails.
Highlights include the fantastic hospitality that has been extended to them by IMBA members and clubs across the nation, the sharing of ideas on trail design and maintenance with other recreationists, the opportunity to meet and work with hundreds of land managers, and -- of course -- the chance to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow mountain bikers everywhere.
Mike and Jan also made their TV debut last month in Louisville, Kentucky. During a rigorous three day work party in Otter Creek State Park, Julie White from WAVE TV filmed the project. The two minute segment aired on the nightly news and reached one million viewers in Kentucky.
