House Committee Passes National Landscape Conservation System Act (March 2008)
-- On March 12, 2008, the House Natural Resources Committee passed H.R. 2016, the National Landscape Conservation System Act, with support from congressmen from both sides of the aisle and hearty support from the Bush Administration.
The Conservation System Alliance
-- IMBA supports permanent, legislative recognition of these 26 million acres of the most spectacular BLM land. Many iconic mountain biking trails can be found within the Conservation System, including those near Fruita, Colorado and the King Range, California.
