Patroller Input Sought for NMBP Certification Exam
IMBA and the NMBP Advisory Committee are working to create a brief, multiple choice certification exam for patrollers to help establish a uniform standard of training. The purpose of the exam is not to exclude potential volunteers, but to establish a common base of knowledge for all patrollers.
Active patrollers and patrol leaders can submit questions below for consideration to be added to the exam. This is a great opportunity to contribute your patrol experience to a useful resource and to help grow the National Mountain Bike Patrol. As thanks for your help in this important process, all participants who submit at least three complete, usable questions will receive two mountain bike inner tubes from NMBP sponsor Kenda. In addition to the tubes, every usable question submitted will be entered into a drawing for a free NMBP Pearl Izumi Patrol jacket.
You may submit as many or as few questions as you like. Simply use this form for addional questions.
Questions
Questions should be succinct, objective and highlight the core principles and pieces of information that no patroller should be without. Each question will have 4 possible answers: a, b, c and d.
