The National Mountain Bike Patrol (NMBP) is proud to announce a new web resource available for members and patrol groups. Members can now log their patrol activities online. The online log is available for any NMBP member who volunteers with a registered patrol group.
The new feature will provide several significant benefits to the NMBP. First, it will allow us to better gauge the amount and type of work that patrollers are doing throughout North America. This information will be valuable at all levels of the program. Having good data about our volunteer work will allow us to provide more compelling reasons for land management agencies to partner with our patrol groups, or for new corporate sponsors to support the program.
Second, the information submitted will be available to NMBP groups. Registered patrols will be able to request a tally of the work performed by their patrollers. This will help groups compile information for their annual reports to local land management and emergency service agencies. Please contact Spencer Powlison (spencer@imba.com) for details.
Does your patrol already have a reporting system that you'd like to continue using? No problem. This program is not mandatory. However, we still want to count the hours volunteered to our annual total. That's why there is a second reporting page for NMBP groups. The group log is a quick and simple way to add your work to the tally.
