Todd Scott joined the Michigan Mountain Biking Association (MMBA) in 1991 and has served a variety of roles during the past 16 years, including president, executive director, trail coordinator and webmaster. He's done yeoman's work to push mountain biking into the mainstream among land managers, elected officials, and other outdoor advocacy groups. Scott has served on numerous committees, including the Citizen's Committee for Michigan State Parks, Oakland Trails Advisory Council, the Michigan Recreation and Parks Association's Public Policy and Trails committees, the Michigan Environmental Council's Policy and Strategy committee, and the M-DOT Metro Region Non-Motorized Advisory committee. Other highlights include working with Senator Carl Levin to help restore National Park Service RTCA funding; leading efforts to write and push improved bicycling laws through state government; working to maintain bike access to the North Country Trail; helping develop the first singletrack trail in the City of Detroit; partnering with other stakeholders to find long-term DNR funding; and developing the ever-popular MMBA.org website.
