New Crew Rolls in the East
The newest Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew, Chris Bernhardt and Jill Van Winkle, kicked off their tour of the eastern United States this June. Chris and Jill most recently lived in Hood River, Oregon, where they were active trail advocates. Chris has a masters degree in urban and regional planning with experience in private and municipal planning. Jill has a background in plant biology and a passion for teaching. She has worked for the U.S. Forest Service, the Native Plant Society of Oregon, has four patents (in plant genetics), and has most recently worked in water quality analysis. Chris can't hide his enthusiasm for the new position, "Being a part of the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew is a dream job. Talking about trails, working with volunteers, riding our bikes and traveling together - it is an adventure of a lifetime."
Federal Employees Can Donate to IMBA
IMBA is proud to be part of the 2004 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), which allows federal government employees to donate to selected non-profit groups through voluntary payroll deductions. Look for IMBA (# 0751) in the Sports Charities section of the CFC catalog that was recently distributed to all federal workers. CFC contributions help IMBA bring out the best in mountain biking.
