Early Summer 2004

Corporate member Quality Bicycle Products recently hosted an IMBA board of directors meeting at their headquarters in Bloomington, Minnesota. The two-day event coincided with the company's annual winter event and expo, Frostbike, and included a party for local donors, advocates and industry members. During the party, more than 60 guests attended a presentation by IMBA executive director Tim Blumenthal. Many thanks to Quality Bicycle Products for their hospitality!

IMBA supporters L.L. Bean, Gary Fisher and Yakima are again providing assistance to the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew in 2004. Our two fulltime, professional teams of trail experts travel year-round throughout North America and beyond, leading trailwork sessions, meeting with government officials and land managers, and working with IMBA-affiliated clubs and associations to improve mountain biking opportunities. The Crews will also lead a series of 80 IMBA Trailbuilding Schools this year while traveling coast-to-coast in new 2004 L.L. Bean Edition Subaru Outbacks provided by Subaru of America. The vehicles are outfitted with Yakima racks to carry their trailwork tools and 2004 Gary Fisher Cake mountain bikes. The Crews use L.L. Bean clothing, camping gear and equipment while on the road, trail or in the many campgrounds they call home. This past year IMBA's two Crews led dozens of trail projects in 36 states, plus Canada and Europe. Subaru and IMBA are beginning their eighth year as partners in this flagship IMBA program.

Welcome to IMBA's newest Corporate Members: Chico Racing, Chris King, Do Wrap Performance Headwear, DT Swiss, Peak Bar, Pedros and Smith Optics.
